Gizmodo put together a great list of the best free iPhone apps around. If you are someone (like me) who wants to get by as long as they can without paying for any apps, this is the list for you.
Here are some of my favorites:
This one is a no brainer. Facebook on your iPhone, without having to go through the browser.
Evernote
This is a must for anyone who is a constant note taker. But if you are someone who is not a big note taker, but want something to help make you a little more organized, get this now.
Instapaper Free
This is a must have app for iPod Touch users (or iPhone users in New York or San Fran) who don't always have internet connection. See an interesting article but don't have time to read it now? Simply click the Instapaper "Read Later" bookmark and it will be saved to your iPod/Phone to be read later offline.
Last.fm
Last. fm creates free, streaming radio stations based on your musical tastes. And over time, this apps learns more about your tastes and becomes more and more personalized as time goes on. John Herrman from Gizmodo said "There is literally no downside to this app."
Remote
If you are an iTunes addict, this app is for you. You are free to be away from your computer as you blaze through your favorite playlists without ever having to get off your rump.
Stanza
A great e-book alternative to Amazon's Kindle of iPhone that has a pretty good e-book marketplace, with a great free book selection as well.
