Show of hands. Who has even been looking down texting while they are walking, only to run into someone/thing. This is potentially very dangerous. A new iPhone app Text n Walk addresses this issues with a feature that lets you "see through" your iPhone.

This app utilizes the camera on your iPhone to show what is going on ahead of you while you text. This is a great idea, and gives you even more time to disconnect from the world around you.



I have 2 major concerns with this app. First, is the fact that this will be inevitably used for texting while driving. Although it does let you see through the phone, it is still a major distraction and will not keep you for running over an entire family on their way to a picnic.

Second, is its use in sexting. Now you can see the person you are sexting so you never actually have to have physical contact with them.
