In Back To The Future II, Marty McFly foils Biff yet again, but this time on a hot pink hover board. The year was 2015.
Although we are 5 years from 2015, we aren't anywhere near having hover boards in the toy stores. So I did some research to see how its coming.
Some guys on YouTube have a hover craft-ish thing for sale. It's kind of cool, but it is not anywhere near the Marty McFly board. Check out this video .
Future Horizons Inc has a site that lets any eccentric inventor sell their blueprints to anyone wanting to build a jetpack, laser gun, or time machine. Luckily on their front page, they have a link for hover boards.
This beauty will cruise at 20mph and is steered by a rutter. It is available for a cool $9000, or you could take a shot at building it yourself for only $17.50. Just don't die.
This is the closest I have found to the Back To The Future version. Hopefully Matel gets it together and gets these on the market by 2015.
