As we have heard in the last few weeks, Google has slowly been creeping to the social networking realm, with rumors of their upcoming "Facebook killer" called Google Me. Well Google has just made a big move onto Facebook's turf.

Facebook has dominated the social gaming scene ever since it debuted its gaming and applications, largely due to games like Farmville and Mafia Wars. Those games, along with scores of others are made by Zynga

TechCrunch reported yesterday that Google secretly invested $100 million plus in a potential takeover bid of the gaming giant.

This could be a huge move for Google, as they can not only muscle in on Facebook's social gaming realm, but also in on Apple's mobile gaming market. A move like this could blow the lid off gaming for Android.

Big moves could be coming soon. Check back for updates on The Ev.
