Google Chrome Comes To Mac

Google's Chrome web browser has been around for a while for PC, but the Mac folks have been patiently waiting for this highly acclaimed browser. The wait is over, Google released the beta of Chrome today.

I grabbed this as quickly as I could, as I had been eagerly awaiting the release of Chrome for quite some time now. It was worth the wait, as Google has put out a noticeably faster browser that has some great features borrowed from Safari and Firefox.

I already loved the Most Viewed on new tabs from Safari, and that feature is integrated into Chrome. The Chrome extensions are not yet available, but when added, give you great features like those add-ons we know and love in Firefox.

Themes can be added at the click of a button, allowing you to personalize your browser. I have tried several out, and I have found that some make it difficult to read text on tabs. But other than that they are nice and many have a very Google feel to them.

Although I really like this browser, I will switch back and forth Firefox for now until the extensions are ready for Chrome.

Try it out for yourself: Google Chrome for OS X
